Over the weekend the sisters completed a rare training feat by winning separate races at two different meetings in the South East and Illawarra region.
On Saturday their up and coming stayer Bramwell took out the last event at Kembla Grange, ensuring the trip back down the highway was a happy one.
Less than 24 hours later they backed that up with a win at Nowra on Sunday with their lightly raced “problem child” Ribs.
Goulburn and District Racing club secretary manager Robyn Fife said it’s great to see the sisters kick some immediate goals with their training partnership.
“The club is a big supporter of women in racing and looks forward to supporting them as they try to build on the initial success of their new joint training venture," Fife said.
Emma and Lucy base their training operation out of Goulburn and the horse friendly surrounds of the Goulburn District Race Club and only recently formalised their joint training venture.
“The partnership has been many years in the making but to think of the results we have had in the last month is quite overwhelming,” Emma Longmire said.
“It shows the timing of our training partnership has been perfect.
“The client support has been at a level we didn’t think possible with our horse base doubling in the past few weeks.”
A third win was missed over Easter at the Hawkesbury races, with Wildflower coming second.
