Margaret Walcott, Jenny Sullivan, Jan Walshaw and Ann Faraday all celebrate their birthdays in April, and new members, Sandra Holmes and Kathy Hunt (also treasurer), were presented with their VIEW Club badges by president Margaret Gooch.
It was great to see Pat Delaney at our meeting as she has been in ill health recently.
Our guest speaker for the day was Karen Roberts from Allens Training, who spoke about first aid, in particular CPR, and the use of a defibrillator which she demonstrated with an adult, child and baby mannequin.
Members at each table were able to practise with the mannequins with CPR and a defibrillator. Karen advised Allens Training offer many First Aid courses in Goulburn.
All the members were interested in Karen’s demonstrations and are now more prepared in doing CPR and using a defibrillator if necessary.
Joan Scott thanked Karen for talking to us and presented her with a small gift of appreciation.
The raffles were won by Kathy Hunt and Pat Delaney and the lucky door prize was won by Sandra Holmes.
Our next luncheon will be at the Goulburn Soldiers Club on Thursday, May 3, and new members are welcome to attend.
If attending, please notify Margaret Gooch by 7pm the Monday prior to the luncheon.
