Highlights including the Science Hub Astronomy and Culture Program, Dance for Wellbeing, escorting Create NSW into three regional communities, engaging with artists and creatives with professional development programs, Wine Press author program and, of course, attending exhibitions, performances and other arts and cultural activities throughout the region.
The break over Christmas and New Year will give all of us time to draw breath and be with family and friends.
If you’re still thinking about Christmas gifts and not sure, remember to think about supporting local artists and crafts people in our region.
Think about popping in to the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Gallery on Track and the Goulburn Visitor Information Centre to find that special hand-made gift.
Slightly further afield there are galleries and shops selling arts and crafts in Crookwell, Gunning, Marulan and Taralga. Turn your gift buying venture into a day trip and have some fun.
There is still time to catch the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Lieder Theatre and don’t forget Christmas Carols in Belmore Park on December 22.
Remember Christmas is not just about buying things; it’s a time to connect in our communities and to support each other.
Council’s Australia Day nominations are open – think about who deserves to be recognised. I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and see you in the new year.
