A total 60 ladies attended, enjoying a two-course month, a gift and lucky door prizes.
The local organisation looks after some 158 widows across Goulburn, Crookwell, Bigga, Taralga, Braidwood, Gunning and other surrounding areas.
It provides sustenance grants to help the ladies cope with electricity and other bills and legatees are a valuable point of contact for any other concerns.
Legacy also hosts regular activities such as lunches, movie days, bus trips and an annual trip to the ANZAC Day concert in Canberra. On Mother’s Day, each lady is given a gift.
Legatees also visit their appointed widows on a regular basis.
If you are a war widow, Goulburn Legacy is interested in hearing from you. The office is located in the lower level of the Goulburn Soldiers Club and can be contacted on 4821 2451.
