GIVIT is a national online not-for-profit connecting those who need with those willing to give.
*************************
Through its website givit.org.au, trusted Australian charities are supported as they request essential, quality items on behalf of their clients.
GIVIT matches their needs with public and corporate generosity, facilitating quality goods to reach vulnerable, impoverished and marginalised individuals in a safe, easy and timely manner.
GIVIT’s ACT manager Caroline Odgers congratulated the show society on its fundraising efforts to support local farming families.
The donation of $11,500 will provide vouchers for stock feed and rural supplies. “All money will be spent within the local community,” Ms Odgers said.
“Vouchers were distributed as a matter of urgency via local charities registered with GIVIT to provide urgent support to farming families doing it tough in Goulburn-Mulwaree.
“This donation certainly provided them with some welcome relief.”
The show society held fundraisers, including a barbecue at the local markets and a charity bike ride, in support of drought relief.
GIVIT works with 2300 charities, community groups and schools across Australia and 170 in the capital region to connect those who have with those who need, in a private and safe way.
Charities, not-for-profits and community organisations register for free with GIVIT to request what is needed most by their clients.
