Committee president Jacki Waugh admitted to still running on adrenalin on Tuesday as she and helpers pulled down displays.
"That's the hardest part but it also takes a week to put it up," she said.
This year the committee had some help from eight visitors from International Volunteers for Peace. Coordinator Rita Warleigh said they arrived on February 23 and over two weeks, set up and packed away the Show props.
"They made the choice to come to Goulburn out of 600 other projects available around the world through our networks," Ms Warleigh said.
"Apart from the intrinsic reward of helping a worthwhile community cause, they will gain insight into Australian rural life and a country town, while making lasting friendships and gaining intercultural competencies."
Mayor Bob Kirk met up with the visitors at the Show. They came from Laos, Vietnam, Japan and Italy.
Ms Warleigh said at a recent meeting in India of our network of International Volunteer Organisations, the UNESCO representative, Eric Falt, described international volunteering as one of the best ways to broaden perspectives and develop critical thinking, enhance social integration skills and learn to act effectively.
Meantime, AP&H Society treasurer Nestor Ellinopoullos said planning had already started for next year's Show.
But he too was pleased with the variety on offer, including more than 70 stallholders which also brought together community groups like U3A Goulburn, the local Gem and Lapidary Club and much more.
The Young Farmers Challenge also attracted healthy entries and plenty of action as the youngsters negotiated a course.
For the first time, the Show ran helicopter joy flights across both days. Adrenalin Skydive also performed a parachute drop. The equestrian arena was a hive of activity, with entries up on previous years.
"We try to do something different every year. Next year we might even have racing pigs," Mr Ellinopollous quipped.
