Jordon Woods and Brendan Graham were recognised for their excellence in taekwondo on Tuesday, May 7.
Both of them will use the funds to help their future in the sport.
"I'm grateful for the funds which will go towards my upcoming second degree black belt and tournament we did in Melbourne," Brendan said.
"I'm thankful too and will use the funds to pay off for things like my trips across the country for tournaments," Jordon said.
Brendan, who started when he was five-years-old in the little ninjas course, loves doing patterns.
"I love doing patterns because I can rehearse them really easily," he said.
Jordon though, loves a completely different aspect of the sport.
"My favourite thing about martial arts is the sparring," Jordon said.
"I am more into the contact aspect of the sport."
They are a joy to teach because they are very enthusiastic in every class.
- Craig Harmer
Goulburn Martial Arts Academy head instructor Craig Harmer said the funds were well deserved.
"They are a joy to teach because they are very enthusiastic in every class," Harmer said.
Like every athlete, the two boys have goals they would like to achieve.
"My aim for the future is to improve the skills and technique that Harmer teaches us, Brendan said.
Jordon's short term goal is to go to Argentina to compete at the 2020 World Championships.
Goulburn Mulwaree mayor Bob Kirk, deputy mayor Peter Walker and councillor Margaret O'Neill presented cheques to the boys.
The grants are from round two of the 2018/19 Ray Harvey Sports Foundation.
