To say that the recent Illawarra District Netball Association Gala Day was a success for Goulburn would be quite the understatement.

Five Goulburn and District Netball Association teams made the trip to Berkeley on Sunday, July 28, to compete in their final representative assignment of the year.
GDNA vice president, Karan Campbell, said that the association had a "fantastic showing" at the carnival.
"I'm very proud of all of our teams there," she said.
The Goulburn players ranged in age from 10 years old, through to 15, and the lowest any of the teams finished in their respective divisions at the carnival was fourth.
Two sides (the 14s and 12s) finished first in their divisions, having earned nine wins and seven wins respectively.
Meanwhile, the 15s finished second, the 13s finished third, and the 10s/11s team finished in fourth.
The strength of the girls' results, Campbell said, was a testament to their dedication.
"This is the last rep game of the season, so obviously we expect them to improve throughout the year," she said.
"They've worked very hard throughout the season, and they've had some great games and put in a really big effort to get where they've gone."

Campbell said that the progress made by the teams in 2019 has been "amazing".
While the Illawarra carnival was the last official fixture of the year for Goulburn's representative teams, the girls' training habits will not abate.
Throughout the off-season, Campbell said, most of the representative players continue their training in order to maintain their fitness and skills ahead of the 2020 season.
The girls will now continue their seasons with the local clubs, ahead of the finals which are set to take place in September.
