Prior to the elections, reports were read about our participation in many areas within our branch. Some of these included catering lunch for the occasional coach tour, whether it be lunch or dinner for another Group on their way through to State Conference, serving Devonshire Tea at the railways celebrations, working on handicraft for competition, sewing Angel Gowns and knitting premature baby caps, bootees and beanies to donate to various hospitals within our area as well as Canberra.
Ladies were also baking cakes for the Land Cookery Competition, some even lucky enough to go on to the State judging which was held at Albury this year.
Joyce Gegg, a member for 21 years, was presented with her Long Service Bar by Leanne. On this day we had a visit from NSW Labor leader Jodi McKay and Labor Duty MLC for Goulburn and Shadow Minister for Crown Lands & Mental Health Tara Moriarty.
Elections were as follows: President - Margaret Ranger; vice-presidents - Betty Campbell and Pam Casey; secretary/publicity - Colleen Cooper; treasurer - Lauraine Gillespie; International - Margaret Davey; Land Cookery - Elizabeth Ranger; Handicraft - Carol Bloomfield; Councillors to Group - Betty Campbell and Elizabeth Ranger; Patron - Nancy Foord.
Members are looking forward to a Happy, Healthy and exciting year ahead.
