Guests came from Albury, the ACT and Sydney.
They enjoyed Melinda Corby's and Deb Smith's new menu.
Colin Chalker gave a short speech praising Mary's involvement with community organisations.
Mary began as secretary of the Pony Club, while she was Secretary of the Australia Day Committee for 50 years.
Colin said she looked on the Pony Club children as family.
A large decorated chocolate cake was cut by an amazed Mary who thanked guests for their attendance and thoughtful gifts.
New faces, new dishes
A few changes have taken place in the local hospitality industry recently.
After their four year lease had expired, Danielle and Amy decided that they had spent four years of creative cooking and that it was time to retire.
The community was concerned that they would be without a popular meeting place.
However, on November 1, husband and wife team, Brendon Gradidge and Chloe Smith, will open "Grand Ettie" next door to the General Store.
The Club Bistro also is under new management.
Melinda Corby and Deb Smith have a tasty menu since they have taken over that venue.
The bistro will be open Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday from 12pm.
New bowlers and beginners are always welcome at Twilight Bowls every Friday from 6pm. (Name in by 5.30pm. please).
The Fishing Club Raffle Draw is currently at $8100.
Bingo is at 2pm on the first Sunday of the month with great prizes.
