There will be no reason to panic, it's just the annual Yass Valley SPIN Foundation Bowning Hill Walk.
For a number of years, the walk has been an opportunity for local organisations to raise money for good causes, and this year the SPIN Foundation hopes to help locals in need.
"We pass the money on to people in the Yass Valley who need financial assistance with medication or who are living with disease, it's done on a case-by-case basis," foundation president, Barry O'Mara, said.
This year's walk is fancy dress, with participants invited to get out their craziest outfits for the roughly 30-minute walk up the hill.
"Fancy dress was something we thought of to get the kids involved," O'Mara said.
"They get a small gift if they come in fancy dress, we thought it was a way of brightening up the hill."
Those looking for a more vigorous or competitive outing will have the opportunity to run Bowning Hill, which will start an hour earlier than the walkers.
The event will be run in accordance with NSW COVID-19 Health Guidelines, with social distancing encouraged and volunteers wearing face masks.
The event has raised roughly $4,000 on average in the past, but due to the impact of the coronavirus, O'Mara does not know how much to expect this year.
"At this stage with COVID-19, we're happy to take whatever we can get," he said.
Families and those with dogs on leads are welcome to take part in the walk, which O'Mara described as "a good family day out".
Those of all ages and physical abilities are welcome. There will be rest stations on the way up the hill, and there is also a shuttle service available which can take visitors to the top.
The foundation will also run a barbecue at the bottom of the hill once participants have finished.
The Yass Valley Spin Foundation Bowning Hill Walk will take place on Sunday, September 27. A donation to the foundation is required for entry, with runners to begin from 9am and walkers to follow at 10am.
