Wayne and the LPG tanker have trundled through the streets, along dirt tracks, in and out of driveways, in all weather conditions, to deliver essential energy to keep the water hot, the heaters burning and the cooktops cooking.
After making around 210,000 deliveries, many in Yass and surrounds have come to rely on Witty's reliability.
Knowing most customers by name and understanding when they need a delivery, his service has become legendary.
The service and gas supply will continue and Wayne will be at the ready to pass on his knowledge and experience.
