There was some fast, tight racing in A Grade as Jacob Emmerton took out the win from Cameron Roberts and Jason McLaughlin.

Nothing separated the riders in B Grade, with each swapping off turns at the head of the peloton. Jason Pattison's track form came to the fore as he powered out of the final corner to out-sprinted Phil Champion and Andrew Stewart for the win.

C Grade had a fast and furious start with Zane Jackson, Tony Neate, Mark Stutchbury, Nadine Moroney and Chris Berry opening up a handy lead in the first few laps.

Neate applied the pressure and opened up a two bike length lead over Berry. Moroney and Stutchbury chased hard and within two laps bridged the gap to Berry just as he caught Neate.

The climb at the back of the course proved one hill too many for Berry and the others moved ahead to contest the podium positions on offer. In a three-up sprint to the finish line, Neate took the honours followed by Stutchbury and Moroney.

In D Grade, Wayne Skillman made an early breakaway which proved to be the winning move leaving Peter Jackson, Elsie Apps and Bernie Bugden to fight out for the minor placings. In the sprint for the minor placings, Jackson finished just ahead of Apps.

Next Wednesday, February 10, racing returns to Breadalbane for graded scratch races and the first round of the club championship. Sign on is at the church from 6pm and racing starts at 6.30pm. New riders are welcome.
