We lost three members recently and they will be sorely missed.
Vale Iris Roberts - Iris passed away on June 1, 2021. She joined Goulburn Day VIEW on April 22, 1982 and was still a member of the club on her passing. Iris was a well liked and a valued member of our Club.
In her early years Iris was often seen as a model when we had fashion parades and took new members under her wing to ensure they were made welcome. Although Iris was unable to attend luncheons in the past few years, she was kept informed with visits from Brenda and Jenny and all the GDVC newsletters and minutes. Our thoughts and prayers are with Iris' family.

Vale Leila Dunne - Leila passed away on June 6, 2021 and was a past member of Goulburn Day VIEW. She joined on May 2, 2013, remaining a member until 2018.
Leila was a very supportive member of GDVC and in latter years of membership assisted program officer Wendy Strauch with her duties. "May your Irish eyes be always smiling." Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Leila's family at this time.
Vale Wilma McKenzie - Wilma passed away on June 15, 2021 was also a past member of Goulburn Day VIEW. She joined on April 4, 2013 and remained a member until 2017. Wilma was a very happy-go-lucky person and was usually seen 'flitting around the room' speaking with all those present. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Wilma's family at this time.
Raffles were won by Belinda Swan, Gloria Bell, Joan Scott (twice) and Judy Coe. Margaret Thompson, Margaret Todkill and Marie Pedlow enjoyed birthdays this month. There were lots of lucky prizes - newsletter won by Judy Coe; Lucky Wine by Judy Coe, Belinda, and Cathy Hunt.
Unfortunately due to Covid 19 lockdown in Sydney our guest speaker was unable to attend, however Santa heard about this and sent one of his helpers to give us a special time for the day.
The July 15 social day will now be held at K&Gz at 12 for 12.30pm. Names to given to Margaret Gooch by 7pm Monday, July 12, 2021.
Our next meeting is Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11am for 11.30am at the Goulburn Soldiers Club. Please contact Margaret Gooch (02) 4822 1859 or 0409 904 917 before 7pm the Monday before the luncheon if you wish to attend. You can also text or email your acceptance to mgooch65@gmail.com. Cost of lunch will be $27.
