The Goulburn Day VIEW Club enjoyed a lovely meal and camaraderie at our recent August meeting.
The meeting was held in the Chisholm Room at the Goulburn Soldiers Club, with 25 members present with four apologies.
Our thoughts and prayers go to Gloria Porter, on the recent loss of her brother and also to Judy Stephenson and her family, from all members of GDVC, on the passing of her husband and their father, James Stephenson, on July 18.
Our guest speaker was unable to be with us due to unforeseen circumstances so we had considerable discussion, debate and voting on the three VIEW national resolutions. Our decisions will be sent to national office.
We welcomed two new members, Belinda Rankin and Alicia Laidler who received their members badges.
Goulburn Evening View will be celebrating their 50th birthday on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, so put this in your diary. More details to come when available.
Raffles were won by Belinda Swan, Gloria Bell, Del Nelson and Joan Scott. Kathy Hunt and Robyn Cummins enjoyed birthdays this month. The lucky door numbers were won by Judy Coe, Robyn King and Barbara Creese and the lucky program won by Alicia Laidler. The lucky number draw was won by Kayleen Tremble who couldn't believe her luck!
Our next meeting is our 44th birthday luncheon on Thursday, September 2. (If the COVID lockdown has been lifted). It is 11am for an 11.30am start at the Goulburn Soldiers Club. The cost is $27 for a two-course luncheon where we will have a trading table, raffles and lucky door prizes and lucky number draw. Please contact Margaret Gooch 4822 1859 or 0409 904 917 before 7pm the Monday before the luncheon if you wish to attend. You can also text or email your acceptance to mgooch65@gmail.com

As we are having a trading table at our birthday luncheon, if you have anything you would like to donate just let Joan Scott, Maree DeBritt, Margaret Gooch or Jenni Aubrey know and we are happy to receive any items in good condition.
