The clay target shooter was stoked to get $200 in funding and said he would spend it on an upcoming nationals tournament he is representing the state in.
A lot of the expenses that go into the sport include paying for ammunition, nominations and equipment, so the money was definitely very handy.
The 16-year-old, who idolises his uncle Arthur Pagett, said he got into the sport from a very young age.
"As a young boy, I often watched my uncle until I was old enough to get my minors permit at 12," Rohan said.
"I had my first competition at the Crookwell Gun Club and had progressed from that day onwards."
Rohan wanted to thank all those who had helped him along the way as they all played a pivotal role in his success.
The next round of funding will be round 2 of the 2020/21 financial year and will be advertised on the Goulburn Mulwaree Council's website in the first half of this year.
