The Goulburn club is offering just that chance with its inaugural Information, Awareness and Fun Day on Saturday, April 10.
Publicity officer Mark Woodward said the community organisation was grateful for all the support it received, especially for its annual Christmas car raffle.
"We are still active and continue to support many people and causes in the community," he said.
The club has fundraised for charitable organisations such as Goulburn Riding for Disabled, the local CanAssist branch, Legacy and much more. Last year it donated $5000 towards Goulburn South Public School's Friendship Park.
The Lions movement primarily supports vision care but its efforts extend much further to health and education needs, assisting youth and helping in times of disaster. It has more than 1.3 million members across 205 countries.
The Lions Club of Goulburn City recently held its AGM and elected Mick Gordon as president. The executive also includes secretary John Flarrety and vice-presidents Ron Furniss, Murray Robinson and Alex Harmer. Rosemary Chapman is the immediate past president.
The Information, Awareness and Fun Day will be held at the Goulburn Bowling Club from 10am to 2pm, Saturday, April 10. Activities will include barefoot bowls and croquet and a sausage sizzle will be available.
